1 Day VRS Foundation Course
This course is a requirement to enable all labourers and potential Installers of VRS to obtain their Green Fiss/cscs card in line with NHSS 10B requirements
Foundation Course – A one day course registered with LANTRA covering basic general aspects of Vehicle Restraint Systems (VRS) and parapets
Course sessions include:
• Introduction

• Quality Assurance & Sector Schemes
• Terminology.
• Performance Standard
• Containment Levels
• Working Widths
• Impact Severity Levels.
• Terminals & Transitions
• Components of a System.
(Can include Level 1 award in Health and Safety course for free,
and just pay for Level 1 certificate if required) Can be completed at your place of work

1 Day VRS Installer Course
All potential VRS Labourers and Installers of Permanent Vehicle Restraint Systems before proceeding to detailed training for the installation of any of the Proprietary or Non-proprietary systems
This course will cover:
• Introduction
• Health & Safety (reminder)
• History
• Quality Assurance & Sector Schemes.
• Terminology
• Performance Standard
• Containment Levels
• Working Widths
• Impact Severity Levels.
• Terminals & Transitions
• Components of a System
• Documentation.
• Installation

3 Day NPSBS Course
All potential VRS Installers and Installer and Supervisors of Permanent Vehicle Restraint Systems who will be completing maintenance and repair work on Non Proprietor Safety Barrier systems
This course will cover:
• How to recognise the different NPSBS systems TCB.
OBB, DROBB, UCB, RHS
• How to interpret the GA drawings
• How to safely remove damaged systems
• How to safely replace damaged components

Vehicle Mounted Post/Pile Driver Training. General /VRS Fencing/Photovoltaic
This course will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to use vehicle mounted post drivers.
This training course has been developed to help you understand how to install driven fence posts safely using your own machine
The amount of instruction you will require will depend largely upon your previous experience
The training course will consist of theory and practical sessions.
Course sessions include:
• Health and Safety
• Roles and responsibilities
• Safe system of works
• Familiarisation of the equipment
• Full theory and practical assessment of the equipment
You will receive a Lantra Vehicle Mounted Post Driver certificate and ID card, plus a Ajs training certificate which link to the machine you were trained and assessed on.
As all machines are of different configurations, HSE law requires you to receive familiarisation and assessment with each piece of plant, to be deemed competent

All potential VRS Installers and Installers or Supervisors of Permanent Vehicle Restraint Systems who will be completing installation, maintenance or repair work on any Guardrail product designed or supplied by Hill & Smith
This course will cover:
• How to recognise the different systems they provide
• How to interpret their drawings
• How to calculate lengths of Need
• Importance of correct post spacings
• Importance of correct post position, line and height
• How to identify and install their Terminals ( ABC, Trend)

Orteco Products Familiarisation
Ajs training are Orteco approved to complete training and assessment on their products.
This familiarisation training os for those persons who already hold a Lantra Vehicle Mounted post driver training card, and now require further training on Orteco equipment
This course will cover:
• Crawler mounted
• Dumper Mounted
• Lorry Mounted
• Post Extraction
• Coring
Not training and assessment it is designed for those who are already qualified and hold VMPD to be shown how to use the Orteco rigs and attachments
